Coin #1 in Barry's study

This is the only variety, from this Wide Date group of coins, which can be found to have Die Polishing Lines on its Reverse side. In many respects, it is very similar to the Narrow Date variation which also has these lines, but in this case, the two “4’s” have been almost Evenly Aligned in the date. Interestingly enough, both of these varieties have had their “4’s” punched very close to the Ornamental Loop, but it appears that this particular variety is quite scarce and difficult to find in any condition.
