Wide Date, Low, Tilted "4"
1941 Newfoundland 10 Cents · George VI
The second of these Wide Date varieties, is very similar to the preceding example, however, in this case, the "4" has been punched a little Lower in the date and it is Tilted slightly upward to its left. The first impression when observing this variety, is that the "1" is higher in the date but this is only the result of the positioning of the "4" ahead of it, which leads to this false perception.
