Coin #1 in Barry's study

This particular variety has been listed as having a Medium date, but it could have been, just as easily, added to the Narrow date section. For the sake of clarity, it was decided to use it to introduce the Medium date varieties. In this particular case, the "1" is located in approximately the same position as that of the previously listed Narrow date but here the similarity ends! It can be easily recognized by observing the "1" which has been noticeably Re-punched, leaving the remnants of the original numeral still clearly exposed. This can be observed on the Upper Right side of this Altered digit.
