Coin #1 in Barry's study

This variety is the only example within this group which has a significantly Narrower date than any of the others. This can be attributed to the fact that the "4" and "0" have been punched closer to each other and also, there is a noticeable difference with the positioning of these digits within the date. Here, the "4" is considerably Higher than the "0", which has been positioned relatively close to the Decorative Loop. In addition, both the "4" and "0" have been Re-punched but this effect is particularly noticeable on the "0".
