Narrow Date, Narrow "19"
1900 Newfoundland 50 Cents · Victoria
The most common of these three varieties is the Narrow Date which can be easily identified by the Narrow Gap which exists between the "1" and "9". In this case, the last zero has been punched slightly farther to the left, than for either of the Wide Date varieties. This particular characteristic can be seen by observing the relative positioning of the "0's" beneath the letter "T" (in "CENTS"), but this variance can only be described as being, "subtle" at best!
