Coin #1 in Barry's study

The second of these two varieties is quite different from the previous example. In this instance, all of these coins were struck with the Older Portrait 2 effigy of Victoria. Also, the letter "w", in the word "NEWFOUNDLAND", is noticeably smaller than that of its companion. In addition, there are no apparent signs of Modifications having been made to any of these letters and the "Dot" cluster, does not appear on this variety.
