Narrow, Even "47", Far "C"
1947 Newfoundland One Cent · George VI
The first of these varieties is perhaps the easiest to recognize by observing the size of the Gap between the "4" and "7" of the date. In this instance, these two numerals have been punched closer to each other than those of the following variations. Also, the Mint Mark "C" has been positioned almost evenly between the base of the Letter "T" (in the word CENT) and the ornamental "Dot", making it the farthest for these variations.
