Coin #1 in Barry's study

This particular variety is nearly identical to the aforementioned Narrow Date (TYPE I (b) ) but it does have one noticeable difference. In this case, the Mint Mark "C" has been positioned slightly farther to the right, leaving a larger gap between itself and the "T" (in CENT). In this instance the "C" has been punched above the 4th and 5th Denticles, almost evenly spaced between the "T" and the "Dot", which is located just a little farther to its right. This variation is the second in this series of Medium "41's".
